15-Day Uganda Classic Safari

Day 1: Arrival and Pick up from the airport

Welcome to Uganda: On day 1 of the 15-day Best of Uganda Safari, you will be welcomed to Uganda, the pearl of Africa, by Kashari Resort Tours and Travel’s processional guide upon landing at Entebbe International Airport.

Brief you about this 2 weeks adventure as you head to your reserved hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in for a meal then spend your evening at leisure.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja and River Nile Experience and activities

After breakfast on day 2 of 15 Days Best Of Uganda Safari, check out of the lodge and start meet your safari driver and embark on a journey to Jinja with a stopover at Mabira forest one of the nest and natural forest in Uganda.

Proceed your journey to Jinja where you will enjoy your lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise along Nile River to visit the source of the Nile. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Kapchorwa where you will spend an overnight at the base of Mount Elgon.

You may also choose to do some optional activities such as White water Rafting on the Nile, Tubing the Nile, Bungee Jumping, horse riding among others at an extra cost.

Day 3: Sipi falls activities

Your guide will transfer you to Sipi Falls offices where you will be briefed about the hike and meet the local guides that will lead you through the waterfall hike to summit 3 waterfalls at 100m, 85m, and 75 m consecutively.

During the hike, you will start with the longest waterfall at 100m then head to 8m, and finally to 75 m as you return back to your starting point.

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Start your day with an early game drive in the wilderness of Kidepo Valley National Park where you will be overwhelmed by several wildlife that occupy the plains and the Narus valley at large.

Amongst the mammals spotted during the game drive on this day include Lions, Elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, bush babies, wildebeests, water bucks and many more without forgetting several birds, butterflies and the entire flora of the park that is ever green throughout the year.

Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park Experience

Have breakfast and drive off to Kidepo Valley National Park, arriving in time for some rest and lunch before going out for game viewing.

You will proceed for game viewing in the Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo. Narus is the sector of Kidepo that has savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland.

It is also the area of the park with permanent water sources throughout the year and for that matter, most of the animals are in this part of the park. Be on the look for large herds of Buffaloes, many Zebras, antelope species and the lions. You will return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. The highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, leopard, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants.

Then surely, the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here will fascinate you. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts about 450 bird species including the grey parrot, dwarf king fisher and the Goliath heron among others.

You will reach in time for lunch and some rest at the lodge. Later, move out for an afternoon-to-evening safari.

Day 7: Game drive and boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

Head out for an early morning game drive to spot nocturnal mammals and hunters within the park.

Game drive in the park is carried in the Northern part of park that thrills with the best savanna grassland where you will be able to spot the big 4 African game out of big 5 and plenty of bird species.

Return to the lodge for lunch and embark on a stunning boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the waterfalls.

 Day 8: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Enjoy your breakfast then check out of the lodge and start a long drive to Kibale forest national park which is a whole day drive with an en route lunch.

Upon arrival at the park, proceed to check in your lodge go for the bigodi walk laiter go back your lodge to enjoy your dinner and have an overnight.

Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking

After breakfast on day 9 of 15 days of Uganda Safari, pack some snacks and drinking water and meet your safari driver to be transferred to the park headquarters in Kanyanchu for briefing after which you will be led into the forest to search for the habituated chimpanzee troops of chimpanzees in their natural habitats with a possibility of spotting other primate species since the park harbors 13 primate species.

After spending an hour with these gentle giants, return to the lodge for lunch and opt to spend your evening at leisure or enjoy an evening guided nature walk in bigodi wetland sanctuary.

Day 10: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge on day 10 of 15 days Uganda Safari then head out for a guided for walk to visit the crater lakes of Kasanda and visit Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves.

Later on enjoy an en route lunch and proceed your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Game drive and boat launch at Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early Morning Game Drive, driver and transfer to Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will spend a half day on a wildlife viewing adventure spotting different wildlife species including mammals lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kob, and leopard.

Later on, return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel with an opportunity to spot Hippos and lots of aquatic wildlife such as Crocodiles, water birds, and many more.

Day 12: Transfer to Bwindi and en-route game drive to ishasha

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions.

The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey).

Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Come trekking with us to find mountain gorillas early this morning in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It’s an experience you’ll remember your whole life Viewed as you approach the park boundary, the forested mountainsides of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park stand in magnificent contrast to the surrounding cultivated hills.

Once inside the park, expect a sensory overload of sounds, smells and sights you could only experience in a pristine African jungle.

Even without any wildlife, Return to the accommodation and have some rest before moving out for the late afternoon-to-evening local community and cultural encounter.

This involves cultural dances from the local people of the community and also participating in some activities e.g. traditional cooking, weaving.

Day 14: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park and evening Game Drive

Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP via Mbarara City. You will arrive at the accommodation in Lake Mburo in time and rest before moving for an afternoon-to-evening game drive.

On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others. Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night and have your dinner.

Day 15: Nature walk and transfer to Kampala

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide.

On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others.

Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP.

Thereafter, return to the accommodation for checkout and then hit the road to Entebbe airport to catch journey back home(1800hrs or later). Later transfer back to entebbe via the equator for some photos.
