2 Days Kampala City Tour: Kampala City the capital city of Uganda also known as (the city that never sleeps) in East Africa. Kampala city is made up of seven hills which makes it a rift valley. This 2 days Kampala city tour gives you a chance to explore and experience the different cultures, places, and ways of life of the people of Kampala Uganda. Kampala city is a beautiful city with beautiful people that has developed over the years. During your city tour, you will feel at home since Kampala city is filled with hospitable people.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; Arrival and half-day Tour of Kampala City

You will be picked up from the airport by our company guide and driver, and you will travel for about 2-3 hours to Kampala. Along the way, you will be able to spot different people going their way, different buildings, motorists, and taxis, to mention a few. Upon arrival to the amazing city, you will check in at the hotel then head to the Independence monument which symbolizes the independence of Uganda, and take some photos. From there you will head to the Uganda Museum where you will get to learn about the history, culture, and natural heritage of Uganda as a country.

From there you will head to the Kabaka Palace (Lubiri Palace) where you will get to learn about the Buganda culture, and history of the kingdom and engage in different activities like preparing matooke. Matooke is the staple food for the Baganda people and you will get to prepare it under supervision step by step. From the palace, you will head out for an amazing buffet where you will be served both local and international food.

After a quick lunch break, you will be heading to Namirembe Cathedral a religious heritage and home to the Anglican people in Uganda. You will be able to learn about the history of the church and marvel at the architecture of the church. From Namirembe you will head to Kampala Gardens and relax for the evening. After some time, you will head back hotel freshen up, have dinner, and call it a day.

Day 2; Tour Kampala City and Departure

Wake up early in the morning to an amazing breakfast, and head to Kasubi Tombs a UNESCO world heritage. You will get to learn about the history and cultural importance of these tombs to the kingdom of Buganda. Kasubi Tombs happens to be a burial site for the dead kings of the Buganda kingdom. From the tombs, you will head to the Ndere Cultural Center and experience Uganda’s diverse cultural heritage.

Here, you will get to see different cultural dances being performed, and different local food and crafts. From here you will head out to the craft village along Buganda Road and explore local handcrafts and buy some survivors. You will head back to the hotel for lunch and check out.  This will mark the end of our 2 days Kampala tour.
