Overview
This trip was organized for people who want real adventure or a test of the wild in the pearl of Africa and have a story to tell for a lifetime. You will be going to different destinations and carrying out different activities which will include, a boat cruise, nature walks, and visits to the Batwa community of Pygmies.
Itinerary
A tour guide will be sent to pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe airport on your arrival, brief you and you will head out to the Bucket restaurant for quick breakfast. Immediately hit the road to Murchison Falls National Park. The park is located in the north-western part of Uganda about 288km from Kampala. It is a 5-6hrs drive. Make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have a chance to trek the white rhinos found three one of the big 5 animals in the wild. On reaching Masindi town you will make a stopover for a quick lunch at Masindi hotel. Later on, you hit the road and head straight to Murchison Falls National Park. On reaching the park, you will check in at the lodge. Here, you are allocated to your rooms to freshen up, have dinner, and sleepover for the night.
You will wake up early in the morning, freshen up, have breakfast, and head to the headquarters for briefing and get appointed with a tour guide then head out for a game drive where your eyes will be wowed by the beautiful view that you will be seeing of the wild animals and birds including, elephants, antelopes, Uganda kobs, buffalos, if lucky you will also see lions, etc. the drive takes about three hours after which you will head back to the lodge for lunch and later on you will head to the Nile river for a boat cruise where you will get to see different bird species, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, buffalos and have a view of the magnificent giant falls from down, this cruise will take about 3 hours and you will head back to the lodge for dinner and sleep over.
You will wake up, have breakfast, sign out, and head to Kibale National Park with a stopover for lunch along the way in Hoima City. Kibale Park is made up of an ever-green forest and lots of landscapes making it the best home for a lot of chimpanzees located in western Uganda and stretches through the Kabarole, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, and Kasese districts. On reaching the game park, you will check in at Kibale forest lodge, freshen up, have dinner, and rest for the night.
You will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and head to the headquarters of the park for briefing. After you will head out in groups of 8 with a guide on different trails during the trails expect to see beautiful birds, and blue monkeys to list a few, and prepare to be mind blown when you’re lucky and find a family of chimpanzees you will be given not more than an hour to be in their presence and take pictures of them using non-flash light cameras since these tend to scare them away, you will return to the lodge and have lunch will be provided then head out for simple nature walks then have dinner and rest for the night.
You will wake in the morning, have breakfast sign out, and head for Queen Elizabeth National Game Park so that you can also have a chance to view the of the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha region and other wild animals including elephants, antelopes, spotted hyenas to list a few. Upon reaching you will check in at Tembo Safari Lodge which is a midrange Lodge and you will have lunch then head out for a game drive in the park where you will get to see the above-listed animals and more then you will return to the lodge and have dinner then rest up for the night.
As usual, wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and head out for a boat cruise where you will get to see the different bird species and animals while on the boat with the guide the animals include, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos and buffalos to list a few. Then you will head back to the lodge have lunch and head out for a nature walk which will be led by a guide after return to the lodge for dinner and a sleepover.
Wake up for an African-brewed coffee, and breakfast, pack up and sign out then head for Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover at the equator for the experience of being in two hemispheres at the same time not forgetting to take photos. Then head straight to Kampala on reaching you will be taken to the craft shops where you can purchase some crafts of your choice, go for lunch, and head to the airport for departure. This will mark the end of your 7 days of Safari in Uganda.
