Gorilla Habituation Experience 3 days: Detailed Itinerary.

Day one: Depart Entebbe/ Kampala on your first day of Uganda Gorilla habituation experience.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda is about a 9- to 10-hour journey away. The trip to Bwindi is lengthy, but well worth it since you get to see breathtaking rural landscapes and take in some of the world’s most breathtaking natural sights. Our driver will gladly pull over whenever you want, so you can catch all of these magical moments on film.

On your way to Mbarara town, you’ll have a lunch break near the Equator crossing, where you may take pictures, do some easy experiments, and listen to an interesting discussion. Leaving Kabale after lunch, you will have a beautiful journey to Bwindi National Park, where you will arrive at your lodge in the evening.

Day two: Gorilla Habituation adventure.

Before your four-hour gorilla trekking habituation tour in Uganda begins, you’ll have breakfast at your hotel and then proceed to the park headquarters to register and get a rundown on what to expect. After this, you and your ranger escorts will begin the half-hour to three-quarter-day hike through dense foliage and creepers in search of the gorillas.

The densely wooded terrain is hilly, but there are many animal routes that visitors may use to get around. Other monkeys, birds, and unusual tree species may be seen to you during your hike. Important: the four-hour timer goes off the minute you see new gorilla tracks; following your journey, you’ll return to the park headquarters for a briefing.

It is indeed an incredible experience to be around these beautiful, endangered creatures. As an acknowledgement of your participation in gorilla habituation trekking and your support for mountain gorilla conservation, you will be presented with a certificate.

Day Three: Ending the tour

After breakfast, you may either take a taxi back to your post-tour hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, or you can book a flight out of Uganda. If you want to breathe in the fresh country air just one more, you may do so by returning to the starting point of your Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour.
